Michael J. Vallett, age 73, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. His adoring family was always by his side throughout his illness.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 20, 1952, he was a loving son of the late John E. and Florence I. (LeBlanc) Vallett.
Mike grew up in town and was a 1970 graduate of Mansfield High School. His talents as a general contractor and owner of his own business shined through in every project he took on and regardless of how busy he was, Mike could always be counted on to lend others a helping hand.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Mike was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He had a special place in his heart for nature and the great outdoors. Mike was passionate about muscle cars, attending car shows and was the former proud owner of a 67 Corvette. He enjoyed pumping iron to stay in top physical condition, music, history and of course being an avid New England Patriots fan.
He was the devoted and treasured brother of Tina Squadrilli and her husband Steve of Boynton Beach, Florida, Valerie Nyborn and her husband Allan of Hypoluxo, Florida, Joseph Vallett of North Attleboro, Lisa Tondreault and her husband Ronald of North Attleboro, and the late James Vallett and Susan Vallett. He is also survived by several generations of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services, along with burial at Saint Mary’s Cemetery will be private and visiting hopurs are omitted.
In accordance with his love of nature and working with wood, Michael’s family has requested that those wishing to remember him, may do so by planting a tree in his memory and enjoy watching it grow.
