Patricia A. Litif, 77, of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2026, following health complications. She was surrounded by love and the care of those who meant so much to her.
Patti was raised in Brockton, Massachusetts, and was the youngest of eleven children born to the late George Juddius Matta and Anna Azizth Matta. She attended the Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph, where she often recalled spending many hours working in the kitchen and shared vivid memories of the nuns and her school days.
Patti experienced great loss at a young age, losing her mother when she was just five years old and her father at thirteen. She often shared how she was a handful as a child and spoke with gratitude and affection about the love, care, and support she received from her late brother, Edmund Matta, and his wife, Rosemary, during her teenage years and young adulthood. She leaves many nieces and nephews and her two surviving brothers; Danny Sr and Ronald Matta.
Patti loved to travel and treasured the wonderful life she shared with her beloved late husband, Kevin D. Litif. They were married for 44 years, and after Kevin’s passing, Patti missed him every day. Their love and the memories they created together remained an important part of her life.
Patti had a personality all her own. She was a princess in many ways and, as those who loved her would say, she usually got almost everything she wanted. Her strong spirit, memorable personality, mischievous smile, and unique way of doing things will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Patti passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love. Her family, friends and loved ones will honor her and her husband, Kevin D. Litif’s life on October 24, 2026 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Three Goddard Ave, Rockland, MA 02370 from 11am – 1pm.
