Robert H. Fournier, 70, of Dartmouth, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at home. He was the husband of Sandra J. Gosselin, they shared 45 years together.
Mr. Fournier was born in Fall River, son of the late Henry J. and Jeanine Fournier and had been a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. He worked for over 40 years as a machinist for the former Masoneilan Company in Avon until their closing . He got his certification at MTTI for small motor repair and continued to work for Jem Motorsports of Dartmouth . He loved riding and working on his collection of motorcycles which ranged from his first Harley Davidson a 1978 Lowrider which he recently restored alongside his son . He always had his side-kick Tank, his beloved French Bulldog, by his side , and even bought a Harley Davidson Road King with a sidecar to take Tank for rides . Bob was a very happy go lucky kinda guy who was always willing to help someone out , enjoyed life , always had an infectious laugh that would brighten up your day. He could strike a conversation up with someone and they felt like they knew him for years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Tyler R. Fournier of Rockport, MA; his sister: Diane T. Emond and her husband Kenneth of Freetown; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins,
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Dartmouth.
