
Lap Duy Dao, 85, of Worcester died Thursday, September 17th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Kinh Nguyen; three sons, Son Dao and his wife, Khuong Ho of Vietnam, Hung Dao, Huy Dao and his wife, Lilly Nguyen all of Worcester; three daughters, Tam Dao and her husband Nhan Nguyen of Florida, Thao Dao and her husband, Long Le of Worcester, and Hieu Dao and her husband, Chau Phan of Georgia; 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
He was born in Binh Dinh, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1994. Lap enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. In his free time, he could often be found watching television, playing a game of chess, or enjoying a friendly game of cards. Above all, what mattered most to Lap was his family. He treasured the time spent with those he loved and was happiest simply being surrounded by them. The memories created during those moments together will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Calling hours are Wednesday, September 23rd from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. His funeral service is Thursday, September 24th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street.
