Joy Ellen Martin Gibson, 70, of Tifton passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Ms. Gibson at a later date.
Born September 2, 1956, in Tifton, Ms. Gibson was the daughter of the late Ray Martin and Joyce Walker Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Blair. She loved her animals very much; and she was a member of Brookfield Baptist Church.
Ms. Gibson is survived by one son, Chris Martin of California; four brothers, Ray Martin of Cochran, Tim Martin of Barney, Kenny Martin of Tifton and Mike Martin of Pascagoula, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Christopher C. Martin, Samantha N. Martin, Brianna C. Martin and Johnny T. Martin; and two great-grandchildren, Aurora martin and Arthur Dawley.
