Eliana Isabel Gomez Ortega, 39, of Woonsocket died Thursday September 17, 2026 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts surrounded by the love and support of her family.
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic she was a daughter of Bernardina Altagracia Martinez Santana and the late Gergorio Rosa Mora. She was raised in Santo Domingo and lived in Yonkers, New York for a number of years before moving to Woonsocket where she has resided for the past several years.
Eliana’s love and devotion to her family was second to none. Anything and everything that had to do with family activities was her top priority in life.
Eliana will be remembered as a friendly and outgoing person who showed kindness and courtesy to everyone she met. Her special sense of love and happiness will be her enduring legacy and one that her family will forever hold close to their hearts.
Eliana was a proud and loving mother to her sons Joel Antonio Presinal and Ronald Elian Gomez Ortega. In addition to her mother and her sons, Eliana is survived by her extended family including her siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins both in the United States and the Dominican Republic. They will always cherish Eliana’s memory and carry forward her spirit.
Everyone is welcome to gather to honor, remember and pray for Eliana at visiting hours on Sunday September 20th at Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Visiting hours will begin at Noon and the funeral home will be open for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
