
David Hebert, 82, of Swansea, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Rosemary (Pires) Hebert, they shared 53 years of marriage.
Mr. Hebert was born in Fall River, son of the late Roland A. and Ruth G. (Bradley) Hebert and had resided in Swansea for the last 40 years. Prior to retirement, he owned/operated Roland Hebert Inc. in Westport with his brothers Paul and Phil. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea. He was a mason at the Noquochoke Lodge, Westport. He enjoyed rides on his motorcycle and was an avid golfer.
Survivors along with his wife include his 3 children: Kerry R. Hebert of Augusta, ME, David R. Hebert and his wife Lorie of Somerset and Kimberly E. Whelan and her husband Tim of Chesterfield, VA; his brother: Philip Hebert of Westport; 3 grandchildren: Jillian Hebert, James Hebert and Charlotte Whelan; 3 great grandchildren: Lacey, Nora and Renai; along with nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Jessica Hebert and brother of the late Ruth Adams, Frank Hebert, Paul Hebert and Roland Hebert, Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Tuesday, at Potter Funeral Home from 8:30 A.M.-10:00 A.M. followed by a Masonic Service by the Noquochoke Lodge at 10:00 A.M., prior to the Mass.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
