CHICOPEE – Dona P. “Pat” (Cote) Laughlin, 88, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. She passed into Eternal Life at Harmony House in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Ludlow on March 17, 1938, a beloved daughter of the late Clarence E. and Rose D. (Frappier) Cote. She was raised and educated in the South End of Springfield and moved to Fairview in 1975 where she lived the remainder of her life. She furthered her education and received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the Valley Opportunity Council in Ludlow. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee and was an active Pro-Life advocate. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her four loving children, William L. Laughlin and his wife, Lori, and Andrew J. Laughlin, all of Chicopee, Stephen A. Laughlin and his wife, Bernadette, of South Hadley and Kathleen M. Laughlin and her partner, Marc Benoit, of Chicopee; her loving daughter in law, Teresa Brenton of Texas; her nine cherished grandchildren and four cherished great grandchildren; her dear brother, Robert Cote and his wife, Linda, of East Longmeadow; her dear sister, of Carol Dean of Indian Orchard; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two loving sons, Daniel J. Laughlin who was Called Home on October 7, 2018 and Thomas G. Laughlin who was Called Home on November 9, 2024; her loving daughter in law, Karen A. Laughlin who was Called Home on October 2, 2012; her dear brother, William Cote; and her two dear sisters, Arlene Carangelo and Theresa Seibert. Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Avenue, Springfield, MA 01151. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral home parking lot is located in the rear.
