Concetta R. "Connie" Cassarino
9/13/2026

Concetta “Connie” Cassarino, 95, of Blackstone, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 13, 2026.

Born on August 23, 1931, in the West End of Boston, Massachusetts, Connie was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine LaMonica. She lived a long and full life centered around the people who mattered most to her. Family was always at the heart of Connie’s world, and she showed her love in countless ways throughout her 95 years.

Connie was happiest when her family was together. She had a remarkable way of remembering the things that mattered to the people she loved—from birthdays and anniversaries to everyone’s favorite meals. Caring for her family came naturally to her, and those who knew her will remember the thoughtfulness and generosity she brought to the everyday things she did.

She especially treasured the years spent with family in Maine, where many wonderful memories were made around the table, sharing meals, stories, and laughter. Those gatherings became cherished traditions that her family will always remember.

Connie was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Cassarino and a devoted mother to her five children: Paul, Anthony, Sandra, Donna, and Joseph. Her family grew to include 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, an extraordinary legacy that brought her tremendous pride and joy.

She is also survived by her brothers, Richard LaMonica and Joseph LaMonica, and her sister, Lucy Giliberto. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Josephine LaMonica; her brothers, Libby and Salvy LaMonica; and her sister, Provy Bramanti.

Those who loved Connie will remember the traditions she created, the memories she made, and the many ways she made those around her feel cared for. Her presence touched generations of her family, and the memories of a life shared with her will remain with them always.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St, Medford, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Malden, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
