WEBSTER - Sandra Lee “Sandi” (Owens) Holland, 83, of Webster and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026. Her husband of 24 years, Clayton E. “Skip” Holland died in 1994.
She leaves her two children, Julie M. Vinton and her husband George of Rutland, and Scott E. Holland of Webster and his partner, Jillian; her seven cherished grandchildren, Laura, Rachel, and Michael Vinton, and Maria, Romeo, Nicolina, and Giana Holland; and her loving partner of 18 years, Ronald D. Petrocchi, Sr., her brother, Harry Owens, and his wife, Peggy of Webster; several nieces and nephews; her lifelong friend, Marcia Wagner and her daughter, Pam of Dudley; and a close cousin, Ellie Tomlinson of Marblehead.
She was born on May 1, 1943 in McAllen, TX and raised in Wayland, MA, she was the daughter of Richard and Marjorie (Allen) Owens and was a 1960 graduate of Wayland High School. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Colby Sawyer Junior College.
In her early years, Sandra devoted her time to raising her young children while also working from home as an accomplished seamstress. She and Skip together operated their family coal and landscaping businesses. After her children were raised, Sandi reentered the workforce and worked in Human Resources for Guardian Glass Industries and later for Saint-Gobain. She retired in the early 2000’s to spend more time with her grandchildren.
She was a woman of quiet pride, grace, and elegance who brought warmth and beauty to the lives of those around her. Together with her husband, they lovingly raised their children, Julie and Scott, whom she adored. She always took great pride in their accomplishments throughout the years.
Following Skip’s passing, she was fortunate to find love and companionship again with Ronald. Together, they created special memories and traveled to their favorite places, always making friends along the way. Ron made Sandi smile brightly, laugh often, and feel safe and treasured, especially through her most difficult moments.
Over the years, Sandi truly enjoyed summers on Webster Lake and Cape Cod and winters in Fort Myers. Other favorite vacation destinations included Aruba, and Punta Cana.
Although her health presented challenges during her final years, it could never diminish her loving spirit or the beautiful life she created. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now free from confusion and pain, resting peacefully in God’s eternal care.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 17 in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster. A calling period will take place from 9:30 to 11:00 AM before services in the funeral home. Burial services will follow. The family requests that flowers be omitted and instead donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 320 Nevada St #201, Newton, MA 02460.
