WESTFIELD – Brian R. Lapointe, 69, of Westfield, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, August 1, 2026. He passed into Eternal Life at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on November 8, 1956, a beloved son of the late Robert and Jeannette (Turcotte) Lapointe. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and had lived in Westfield for the past 20 years. He was employed as a Systems Analyst at the former Electromech Technologies in Chicopee. During his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing and spent a great deal of time golfing with his friends at the East Mountain Country Club in Westfield. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He leaves his daughter, Courtney Mendez, his cherished nephew, George E. Pelc, Jr., his cherished niece, Teresa M. Tarbox and her husband, Brian, his cousin, Sue Rogers, and his many dear friends. His relatives will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The funeral home parking lot is located in the rear. His Burial will follow the Prayer Service at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, 152 Pittroff Avenue, South Hadley, MA 01075.
