Obituary

Anthony L. Sadler, Jr., 64, of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Lynda L. (Dube) Sadler, they shared 36 years of marriage.

Tony was born in Silver Spring, MD, son of the late Darleen A. (Swipp) Sadler and the late Anthony L. Sadler, Sr. and his wife Nancy Sadler of Fort Myers, FL and had resided in Westport, MA for the last 2 years.

A graduate of UConn University, Tony was the Vice President for Rite Aid Pharmacy for over 30 years. A devoted husband, loving father, and proud “Papa,” Tony lived a life centered on faith, family, and quiet generosity.

Tony was especially proud of his two sons and cherished every opportunity to be part of their lives. He took particular joy in coaching, cheering, and simply being present for his son’s and grandsons’ baseball teams—moments that became some of his happiest. He embraced the role of Papa with his four grandchildren with wholehearted affection, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A man of deep faith, Tony lived his beliefs quietly but consistently. He gave generously to many charities and gave his time as a volunteer at the Westport Food Pantry. He was a lifelong fan of Boston sports and the UConn Huskies.

He is survived by his wife and step-mother, his 2 sons: Zachary Perkins and his wife Meghan Hoch of Narragansett, RI and Jaedon Sadler of Shrewsbury, MA; 2 brothers: Steven Sadler and his wife Sheila of Billerica, MA and Dan Sadler and his wife Eleanor of Rockville, MD; 4 grandchildren: Desiree Perkins, John Perkins, Casey Perkins and Lillian Perkins; along with nieces and nephews.

Tony will be remembered for his steady presence, compassion and the deep love he gave his family and others.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29
