Iva Lee Foister Wilkerson, 88, of Ty Ty passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Eron White and the Rev. Paul Pritchard officiating. Mrs. Wilkerson will be laid to rest at her residence in Ty Ty. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Tony Wilkerson, Jamie Wilkerson, Steven Tew, Ethan Murrell, Corey Paterick and Joel Gutirrez will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Phillips and Dylan Redding.
Born May 29, 1938, in London, Kentucky, Mrs. Wilkerson was the daughter of the late James Foister and Ollie Jean Wagers Foister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Wilkerson, Jr.; one son, Jerry Jones; three brothers, Sawyer “S. C.” Foister, Midge Foister and Benny Foister; and two sisters, Addie Elliot and Pearlie King. Before retiring, she was a self-employed hair stylist; and she was a member of Albany Baptist Church. She loved driving dirt roads and leisure travel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to cook for them. Another one of her favorite past-times was fishing.
Mrs. Wilkerson is survived by her husband, Joel Dennis Marshall, Sr. of Ty Ty; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Kimberley Wilkerson of Ty Ty; two daughters, Euline Maiden and Lenora Dunn, both of Indiana; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
