
Wesley Anthony Humphrey, 30, of Worcester died Monday, August 17th in Boston. He leaves his parents, Marjorie (Lavine) Humphrey of Southbridge and William J. Humphrey of Worcester; his paternal grandmother, Bettye Mograss; his girlfriend, Jamaica Wilson of Worcester; four brothers, Charles Powlowski and his wife Amanda, Robert Powlowski and his wife, Staci, Jermaine Humphrey, and William “Romie” Humphrey all of Worcester; and two sisters, Sharon Humphrey of Worcester and Janell Humphrey of North Carolina. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended friends and family. He was predeceased by his sister, Keisha Humphrey.
Wesley was a man who brought joy, laughter, and energy wherever he went. With his great sense of humor and a smile that had a way of making everyone around him smile, he enjoyed life and simply loved having a good time with the people he cared about.
An athlete from a young age, Wesley had a lifelong love of sports, especially football and basketball. In his younger years, he proudly played football for the Vikings until aging out of the program. Whether playing on the field or the court, he enjoyed the competition, camaraderie, and friendships that came along with the game.
Wesley also had a passion for motorcycles and dirt bikes. He loved the freedom and excitement of riding and was happiest when he could enjoy the things he loved surrounded by family and friends.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Above all, Wesley cherished his family and friends. Time spent together, sharing stories, laughing, and making memories meant the most to him. He will be remembered for his fun-loving personality, his wonderful sense of humor, and especially his unforgettable smile—a smile that could brighten a room and bring a smile to the faces of everyone around him. The love, laughter, and memories Wesley shared will remain with those who knew and loved him.
Calling hours are Wednesday, August 26th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
