Anita (Emond) Gondek, age 101, passed away on August 18, 2026 at Care One at RedStone Nursing Home, East Longmeadow. She was born on May 8, 1925 in Plainfield, CT, daughter of the late Camille Emond and Emilia (Boulet) Emond. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Gondek and by her son-in-law Denis Chabot. She leaves three daughters, Frances R. Chabot of Chicopee, Odette and Joseph Greenberg of Summerville, South Carolina and Joann Letendre of Worcester along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She was a former communicant of St Rose de Lima Parish in Chicopee and enjoyed spending time at the River Mills Senior Center in Chicopee. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 9:00 AM in St Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
