Obituary

WEBSTER – Eugeniusz Rudnicki, 71, died Thursday, August 13, 2026 in Hubbard Regional Hospital after being stricken ill at home.

He leaves his wife of almost 50 years, Wanda F. (Czajkowska) Rudnicka; a son, Marek Rudnicki and his wife Magdalena of Webster; a daughter, Aneta Duby and her husband Jeff of Webster; 6 grandchildren, Olivia, Katrina and her husband Matt, Adriana, Dominik, Rocco, and Gabriel; 2 great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Natalia; his mother, Janina (Slotwinska) Rudnicka of Webster; his twin brother, Wieslaw Rudnicki and his wife Maria of Dudley; a sister, Zofia Biedron of Webster; nephews and nieces.

He was born on April 11, 1955 in Zmigrod, Poland, the son of the late Wladyslaw Rudnicki and graduated from a technical high school. He moved to Webster in 1995.

While in Poland, Mr. Rudnicki was a builder and had served in the Polish Army. After emigrating to America, he worked at Anglo Fabrics and then in maintenance at Saint Joseph Basilica and St. Joseph School for 22 years before retiring in 2014.

Eugeniusz was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working in his garden. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

His funeral will be held on Monday, August 17, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 16, in the funeral home.
