Paulette L. Langlois, 74, of Woonsocket died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday August 9, 2026 at The Friendly Home. She was the loving wife of Raoul Roger Langlois. Paulette and Raoul were married
on September 16, 1972 at St. Ann’s Church in Woonsocket and shared the past 54 years lovingly devoted to each other.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Germain and Alice (Cournoyer) Desautels. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
In her earlier years Paulette was employed in the local textile industry at several area firms including Sadwins. She also worked at an aerosol spraycan company in North Smithfield.
Paulette was talented at needlepoint and crocheting and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Paulette could easily joke around with people. It came naturally to her. She could tease people with her own special sense of humor and wit and she could dish it out and take it in return, all in good fun. Anyone who knows
Paulette would tell you that yelling at her neighbor Andre across the street was her hobby. Andre knows Paulette loved him.
Even in the face of her illness and health challenges Paulette maintained her sense of humor; some would call it gallows humor. She had a special knack for making the nurses laugh out loud at her one-liners and commentary on whatever came to her mind at the moment.
Paulette will be remembered for her love and care for her family. Her parting message would be to keep right on laughing!
In addition to her husband Roaoul, Paulette is survived by their two sons Eric Joseph Langlois and his wife Cassandra of Woonsocket and Patrick Roger Langlois and his wife Candice of Grafton, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Brooke Langlois. Paulette was the sister of Jeanne Desautels of Woonsocket and is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
In accordance with her wishes services for Paulette are private.
