Obituary

Linda Ellen Brumbelow Cannady, 82, of Tifton passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Brookfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Ms. Cannady will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Brookfield Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Born July 23, 1944, in Aragon (Polk County), Ms. Cannady was the daughter of the late Robert Ellis Brumbelow and Daisy Catherine Rogers Brumbelow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Cannady. She was a loving homemaker and attended Brookfield Baptist Church. She was a member of Tifton’s Golden Age Club and fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for 24 years. Tom-Tom was her cat whom she loved dearly.

Ms. Cannady is survived by the father of her children, Paul Cannady; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenney and Lisa Cannady of Enigma and Robert “Dink” and Margo Cannady of Hahira; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Jamey Kilby of Brookfield and Karen and Johnny Holcomb of Loganville; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Brenda Brumbelow of Social Circle; one sister, Kathy Coley of Rutledge; fourteen grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan and Kelsey Aaron, Jennifer and Zack Banks, Danielle and Jarred Holliday, Josh Holcomb, Rusty and Diana Cannady, Brandon and Shelby Cannady, Amber Cannady, Brianna Cannady, Cameron Cannady, Jolynn Cannady, Halie and Zach Seymour, Marlee Cannady and Zach Daw, Kaitlyn and Connor Williamson and Lindsey Boyd; ten great-grandchildren, Brayden Aaron, Kenna Aaron, Chance Holliday, Cole Holliday, Mavis Holliday, Aiden Bradberry, Wyatt Holcomb, Cynthia Renee Cannady, Noah Dean and Kelton Williamson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
