WEBSTER - Patricia (Guenther) Przybylek, age 92, passed away peacefully on August 6 after a brief period of declining health. She was married to her beloved late husband Chester “Chet” for 64 years before he passed in December of 2018.
She leaves two sons, David and his wife Sara of Shrewsbury, Robert and his wife Cathy of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter Joanne Twiss of Holden; four grandsons, Jason, Paul, Grant and Stephen Przybylek; a granddaughter, Stephanie Twiss. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Guenther, Jr. and Charles Guenther.
Patty was born on April 19, 1934, the daughter of Louis and Sally (Suss) Guenther She was a lifelong resident of Webster and a parishioner of St. Joseph Basilica. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1952 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Patty was the secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in Webster for 29 years, retiring in 1997. She was a trustee and secretary of the Friends of St. Joseph School Fund and was a weekly adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for several years.
Patty was an avid Red Sox fan and for several years traveled with her husband to Florida to see her favorite team in spring training. She enjoyed playing pitch in the Pitch League at TSKK, the Webster Senior Center and she was an expert crossword puzzle solver.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Her love for them was infinite and will remain in our hearts forever.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 13, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 12, in the funeral home.
