WEBSTER- Kate N. Semakula, 66, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus.
She survived by her nine children: Elizabeth McLean and her husband Crispin of Thompson CT; Rebecca Kasenge and her husband Sunday Gingo of Webster; Sarah Kasenge and her husband Kennedy Lidonde of Woodstock CT; Rosemary Kasenge of Uganda, Thomas Kasenge of Leominster; Robinah Kasenge and Senyonjjo Gibson of Uganda; Jesse Kasenge of Worcester; and twins Katherine MacGayver and Stephen MacGayver and his wife Grace Rosado of Leominster. She also has 33 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers, Livingston Semakula of Los Angeles CA, and Jeffrey Semakula of Uganda; one sister Elizabeth Lugudde of Uganda. She was preceded in death by four of her children; Samuel Kasenge, David Kasenge, Michael Kasenge, and Anna Kasenge.
Born in Entebbe, Uganda, on July 22, 1960, she was the daughter of Yossam Salongo Semakula and Beatrice Namagga. Ms. Semakula moved to Waltham in the 1980s and lived in Worcester County for the past 20 years.
She was an avid runner and high jumper. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and had an unwavering dedication to the those she loved. A homemaker, she took great pride in caring for her family.
