CHICOPEE – Sandra R. “Sandi” (Peloquin) LaFleche Belair, 65, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, August 3, 2026. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on February 17, 1961, a beloved daughter of the late Rene A. Peloquin, Sr. and Rachel M. (Breault) Peloquin. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was employed as a Restaurant Associate at Baystate Medical Center and previously was the Banquet Manager at the Castle of Knights Meeting and Banquet House located at the Fairview Council 4044 Knights of Columbus in Chicopee. Sandi played volleyball for over 20 years, enjoyed playing pitch with family and friends, and loved to try her luck with scratch tickets. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Ronald R. Belair; her loving son, Robert R. “Bobby” LaFleche and his fiancée, Jamie Forest, of Chicopee; her loving stepdaughter, Amy Curtis and her husband, Chaz, of Peyton, CO; her two dear sisters, Suzanne Chapdelaine and her husband, Leonard, and Nancy Roux, all of Chicopee; her three dear brothers, Robert Peloquin and his wife, Marlene, of Agawam, Richard Peloquin and his wife, Eileen, of Springfield, and Rene Peloquin, Jr. and his wife, Jolene, of Chicopee; her brother-in-law, Robert Belair and his wife, Nancy, of Granby; her sister-in-law, Diane Lawrence and her husband, Joseph Lawrence, Jr., of South Hadley; her former husband, Robert R. LaFleche of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear sister, Diane Blain and her husband, Donald; and her brother-in-law, Roland Roux. Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Prayer Service at 10 a.m. Her Burial will follow the Prayer Service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral home parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
