Charles E. Ponte, Jr., 89, of Westport passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Clifton Rehabilitative and Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Carreira) Ponte.
Mr. Ponte was born in Fall River, son of the late Charles E. and Mary (Lamarre) Ponte and had resided in Westport for most of his life. Prior to retirement, he worked as a material cutter for the former Anderson Little, Fall River. He was a master furniture builder and loved working in his workshop. He enjoyed model ship building and working in his yard.
Survivors include his daughter: Carol Ponte of Westport; 5 grandchildren: Tracey, Thomas, Stephanie, Jared and Nancy; 9 great grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
