Joseph P. Corona’s time on earth was ended on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 Joe was born in New York, NY on January 5, 1938 to Anthony S. Corona and Christina (LoCasio) Corona. Joe attended Forest Hills High School in Forest Hills NY and was very proud of being and Eagle Scout.
Joe came to New England to attend the College of the Holy Cross and that is when he became a New Englander at heart. After graduating from Holy Cross in 1959 he attended and graduated from St. John,s University School of Law in 1962. He worked in Corporate law for a number of years and realized his dream of being what he called “ a country lawyer” opening his own practice
Joe enjoyed sailing and spent many hours sailing C’est Magnifique. Joe taught CCD Classes in several parishes in the North Shore, most recently at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Marblehead, MA.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Belleau Corona. He also leaves his four children, Joseph M. Corona, Cynthia Ohlman, Andrew D. Corona and Christopher Corona and his sister, Joan Maxes of Woodbury, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead, MA 01945, on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Burial, at a later date, will be private. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a memorial contribution to Our Lady Star of the Sea CCD Program, 85 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead.
