Jane Lambrenos, 75, passed away peacefully July 29, surrounded by the love of her family.
Jane dedicated her career to caring for others. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse before later serving as a nurse liaison, helping patients and their families navigate the transition to long-term care. She retired in 2020 after a lifetime devoted to compassion and service.
To those who knew her, Jane was defined by her kindness and generosity. She never sought recognition for either, but quietly looked for ways to brighten someone else’s day. Whether it was a thoughtful phone call, a helping hand, or an unexpected package arriving on a doorstep “just because,” giving to others was simply part of who she was.
Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Jim, and her sister, Joan Gannon-Traynor. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie; her sisters, Liz Gatturna and Mary Tesmer; her brothers, Tom Hart and Michael Hart; and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The family extends its sincere gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and caregivers whose compassion and dedication brought comfort to Jane during her final illness.
At Jane’s request, there will be no public services. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to make a memorial donation to Fenway Health in Boston, whose mission of providing affirming healthcare and advancing LGBTQIA+ health reflects values that were important to Jane and her family.
