Helen Mary (Sutter) Henry, 95, formally of Girard, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026, just short of her 96th birthday.
Born on August 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Sutter and Clara Belle (Tiger) Sutter.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Henry, and her daughter, Darlene S. Henry.
She is survived by her son, Edward A. Henry, Jr, his wife, Leslie (Porter) Henry, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who all miss her terribly.
Helen lived her early life in Rossiter, PA and later in Clymer PA, where she graduated High School and became a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company. She married and moved to Erie, Pennsylvania where she continued her work with Bell Telephone Company and also starting a family.
In 1964, she moved to her newly built home in Girard, Pennsylvania. While there, she was employed as a switchboard operator at the Erie County Home for the Aged. She later worked as a medical secretary for a local physician, for many years, prior to retiring.
In August of 2025, she, unexpectantly, lost her daughter, and moved closer to her son south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania until her quiet and peaceful death. She was deeply loved by her family and friends.
Arrangements are being made by the Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, Pennsylvania with a private service and a private interment at the East Mahoning Cemetery in Purchase Line, PA.
