
Betty Laminack, 84, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, July 27, 2026, at Harmony Healthcare in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 on Tuesday morning.
Ms. Laminack was born July 16, 1942, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Harvey & Margaret Ponder Zorn. She attended business
college following high school graduation. She worked as a legal secretary for David Morgan in Abbeville, a postal clerk at the Post Office in Fitzgerald, and retired as secretary for Ben Hill Primary School. She enjoyed yard work, traveling with her brother Legette, and loved all the children at Ben Hill Primary. She was a member of Abbeville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Libby Nelms of Fitzgerald and Jennifer & Marvin Palmer of Vidalia; grandchildren: Alex & Daisy Nelms, Kiley Nelms, Nicole & Jordan Haley, and Rachel Palmer; great-grandchildren: Mahaylee Rowe, McKadyn Rowe, McKinslee Rowe, Lucian Nelms, Aspen Palmer, and Avery Palmer; special friend, Joel Weeks of Fitzgerald; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Emmett Zorn, Billy Zorn, and Legette Zorn; and sisters: Marty Young and Maezie Lawrence.
