Obituary

John Atamian passed suddenly July 22, 2026. He was a cherished son, husband, father, grandfather and brother and will deeply be missed by so many.

Born October of 1965, John was the first of three children born to Malcolm and Jeanne (Doria) Atamian in Watertown, Massachusetts, where he grew up and attended school. He worked alongside his family members in their restaurant, Mt. Auburn Grille until 2001 at which time he, his wife and son moved to Naples, Florida.

John was married to his high school sweetheart, Cathy (Barter) for 35 years. They were blessed with one son, Johnnie.

While in Florida, John and Cathy started their own business, Paradise Supplements & Packaging. Together they ran this business with great success for 23 years.

When John was not working, you could find him enjoying his family, especially his granddaughter, cooking for family and friends or working on his car collection.

John is preceded in death by his beloved Mother Jeanne, Father-in-law, Arthur Barter and Grandparents.

John is survived by his father, Malcolm Atamian, wife Cathy Atamian, Son John, Daughter-in-law Ashley and Granddaughter Harlie Jean. Also, Sisters, Michelle Atamian and Rana Mortensen, bother-in-law and best friend, Jamie Mortensen. Nephews, Tyler Papciak, Collin and Aidan Galloway, Mother-in-Law Marilee Florence and many beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Family and Friends are invited to honor John’s life. Visiting hours to be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mt Auburn Street, Watertown MA. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown, MA followed by burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Belmont Street, Watertown.
