Michael A. Ranieri, age 60, most recently of Mansfield, a former longtime resident of Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, July 17, 2026. He was the loving fiancé of Danielle Perry, with whom he made his home.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 12, 1966, he was a beloved son of the late Robert and Marie (Villella) Ranieri.
Michael grew up and was educated in North Providence and Barrington. For over twenty-nine years, he was employed as a laborer for Local 271 Laborers’ Union and was looking forward to his near retirement.
Michael loved spending time amongst family and friends. His hobbies included fishing, shell fishing, listening to music, being a big sports fan and collecting sports memorabilia. All who knew and loved him will always, with a big smile, remember his exceptional cooking skills and passion for eating.
In addition to his fiancé, he was the loving and proud father of Caterina Ranieri and Greycee Ranieri, both of Hope, RI. He was the dear brother of Robert Ranieri of North Providence, RI, Eric Ranieri of North Providence, RI, Kristine Ranieri and her longtime partner Robert Iannitti of Johnston, RI and Maria Ranieri of Cranston, RI. He was the former husband of Caterina Ranieri of Hope, RI and is also survived by his nieces and nephew.
A service in celebration of his life will be held at a later date and place to be announced.
Visiting hours are omitted and burial will be private.
