Jocelyn E. (Glassey) Seaward, 88, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late George E. Sanford and the late William N. Seaward.
Jocelyn was born in Pawtucket, daughter of the late Ralph A. and Ella A. (Wilcox) Glassey. She was Salutatorian of her Central Falls High School graduating Class of 1956. She earned her ASBA degree at Bryant College and worked as an accountant for many years until her retirement.
She loved to sing and was a long-term member of the church choir, Cumberland-Lincoln Community Chorus and Encore.
Survivors include her son: Scott E. Sanford and his wife Dorene of Cumberland; her daughter: Susan E. Sanford of Fall River; her beloved grandchildren: Jason Smith, Grace Taylor and Kyle Bollin; along with nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Michael J. Bollin and siblings, Norwood, Rhoda, Norma and Ralph.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, MA 02790 from 4-7 P.M.
Memorial service will be held at Four Corners Community Chapel, 200 Angell Rd., Cumberland, on Saturday, July 25th at 10:30 A.M.
Interment will be private.
