Wilcox, Frances Carolyn- a long time resident of Burlington passed away peacefully at age 103 on July 13,2026. She was born in Levant, Maine on January 11, 1923 to Bradley and Helen (York) Higgins. She attended Higgins Classical Institute and nursing school before marrying Charles Wilcox on January 27, 1945.
Frances enjoyed life and was an avid gardener, dancer and crafter. She worked many years at the Shawmut Melrose-Wakefield Bank and Trust retiring as head of bookkeeping.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Charles, son David and her brothers Everett, Sidney and Robert. She is survived by her two daughters: Gloria Colgan; and Carolyn Palmer and her husband, Fred as well as four grand children and seven great-grand children. Francis is also survived by her sister, Elvia Nevers and long time companion Harry Berman, and dear friends Debbie and Sheila.
There will be a private memorial service for family at a future date.
Internment will be at the Waugh Cemetery in Levant, Maine.
