George G. Johnson, age 92, passed away on July 7, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1934 in Samford, CT, son of the late Axel and Ebba (Bjorkman) Johnson. George served in the US Air Force> He later worked as a wire weaver for many years before he retired. He is predeceased by his wife Patricia (Turgeon) Johnson, two daughters, Kirsten Johnson Vincenzo and Vivian Johnson and his siblings S-guard Johnson and Elsie Pankosky. He is survived by his son Adam Thurston of New Hampshire and Adam’s mother, Sheri Thurston of New Hampshire. A prayer service with military honors will be held in the Chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St, Agawam, on Monday, July 27, 2026 at 3:00 PM.
