Leeson V. Wordell, 64, of Little Compton, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Newport Hospital with his wife by his side. He was the husband of Christie-Lee D. (Wells) Wordell, they shared almost 24 years of marriage.
Mr. Wordell was born in Fall River, son of Beverly (Governo) Kantz of Ocala, FL and the late William Wordell and had been a lifelong resident of Little Compton. He had worked as a self-employed former owner /operator of pool water transportation business and an excavation business for many years. Lee was surrounded by many wonderful friends he met through jobs he completed as well as from his personal life. He adored wildlife and pets and will be missed by his GSD, Miss Pebbles Noelle.
He was the brother of the late Michael Wordell.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, July 20, 2026 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday from 2-4 P.M.
Interment in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton.
