Fiskdale, MA - Susan J. (Kulesza) Kusz, 77, of Fiskdale and formerly of Oxford and Worcester, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus after an illness.
Susan shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved late husband Chester F. Kusz, who died in 2016. She leaves behind the family who meant everything to her; her two loving daughters, Jennifer Brown and her husband, Jeffrey of Fiskdale and Melissa Nemet and her husband, Brian of Fiskdale. She was an adoring grandmother to her two grandsons, Payton Brown and Westley Nemet both of Fiskdale, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Ruskin of Centerville, MA and Sharon Giangregorio of Bourne, MA, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.
Born in Worcester, Susan was the daughter of the late Valerian P. and Agnes T. (Oveka) Kulesza. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Dennis and Ronald Kulesza. She graduated from the former Saint Mary's High School in Worcester before continuing her education at Burbank Hospital where she earned a degree as a Radiology Technologist.
Susan dedicated much of her career caring for others. She worked as a Radiology Technologist at several medical facilities, including Hubbard Regional Hospital, and also provided mobile x-ray services throughout the community. In addition to her work in healthcare, she enjoyed a successful career as a licensed Real Estate Agent with Century21 Maher Realty.
Susan found her greatest happiness in the simple joys in life and in the people she loved most. She was happiest outdoors, gardening or spending days at the beach, especially on Cape Cod, where countless family vacations created memories that will be cherished forever. Susan had a love for the piano and was an exceptional cook. The holidays, especially Christmas, held a special place in her heart. She delighted in gathering with family and spent countless hours baking her beloved Christmas cookies, a tradition that became a treasured part of every holiday season.
Above all else, Susan's greatest joy was her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by those she loved, especially her grandsons whom she affectionately called her "Angel Boy" and her "Sunshine Boy." Her unwavering love, kindness, and selfless devotion to her family will be remembered always. Though she will be profoundly missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
The funeral for Susan will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward Street Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church 34 Ward St. Worcester.
