George M. Boulger of West Roxbury, formerly of Roslindale and Oughterard, Co. Galway, Ireland, passed away on July 6, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Mary B. (McGuinness) Boulger. Devoted father of George M. Boulger, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Whitman, Brian Boulger and his wife Heather of Wrentham and Sandwich, and Michael Boulger of West Roxbury. Dear brother of Mary and Caroline Coyne, both of Connemara, Co. Galway, Ireland, the late Willie, Bobby, John “Jackie”, and Cliff Boulger. Loving grandfather of Kayley, Aidan, Sarah, Rowan, and Rachel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
George was a member of the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury. He took great pride in his landscaping business and the work he did. He was also known for the stories and jokes he loved to tell, often more than once, to anyone willing to listen. They were part of who he was and will be remembered fondly by those who knew him.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Monday, July 13th at 9:00am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St., West Roxbury at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
