Christine Harper Wiley, 94, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Chuck Taylor and Brother Joey Veal officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wiley was born November 24, 1931, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late John J. & Louvenia Ring Harper. She was a 1948 graduate of Irwin County High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Wiley enjoyed quilting and was a member of Working Hands and Praying Hearts Club which sewed pillows for cancer patients throughout the United States. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, especially her famous chocolate cakes. Mrs. Wiley was a faithful member of Englewood Baptist Church where she has served as Secretary, Treasurer and a Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Wiley is survived by her children and their spouses: Carolyn W. & Edgar Bellamy, James J. III & Donna Wiley and Tina Baldwin, all of Irwin County; grandchildren: Jason Youmans, Amanda & Michael Owens, Allen Baldwin, Deidre Baldwin, Parker & Peyton Wiley, Berry Aycock, and Doug Aycock; great-grandchildren: Isabella Roberts, Michael Paul Owens, Logan Roberts, Kaleb Roberts and Baby Wiley on the way; a fur baby, Chris Wiley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James J. “Jimmy” Wiley, Jr., a daughter, Vicky W. & Ronny Aycock; a grandson, Ron Aycock, Jr., siblings: Mose Harper, Tellus Harper, Bill Harper, Eston Harper, Jake Harper, Alene Harper, Odessa Faulkner, Dolcie “Doll” Chaney and Elsie Griffin.
