Leslie Charles DiGregorio, age 76, of Somerville passed away on Sunday, July 5th. Raised and educated in Charlestown, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Barbara (Connors) DiGregorio. Leslie proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and was awarded a Bronze Star for his service. After returning to civilian life, he settled in Somerville and worked for the US Postal Service.
Leslie enjoyed camping and coin collecting, and most of all loved time spent with his family. He was a member of the Somerville DAV, and served on the board of George Dilboy VFW Post 529. Leslie was also a dedicated member of the Somerville Council on Aging, where he enjoyed the company and friendship of other members.
Leslie was the beloved husband of Frances (Naruszewicz) DiGregorio, and the devoted father of Jamie DiGregorio and his wife Julie Kiely, and Jeffrey DiGregorio and his partner Maureen DiPoalo. He was the loving grandfather of Brandon, Christian and Ariana DiGregorio, and the dear brother of Frank DiGregorio and his late wife Alyce, and Barbara Meers and her husband Raymond. Leslie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, July 16th from 4 to 6 PM, concluding with a memorial service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
