
WINNISQUAM ---- Catherine (Cathy) Hazel DesRosiers, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born on February 1, 1952, Cathy was the daughter of the late Alfred DesRosiers and Catherine "Kitty" (Allen) DesRosiers. She was also predeceased by her beloved son, Joseph Jordan; her brother, Brett DesRosiers; and her sister, Nanette (DesRosiers) Vickery.
Cathy is survived by her loving children, Christopher Weaver and his wife, Dawn, and Jason and his wife, Michele. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Kristina, Jacob, and Kyle Weaver, who brought endless joy to her life.
She is also survived by her brothers, Damon DesRosiers and his wife, Joyce, Kevin DesRosiers, and Alfred "Dewey" DesRosiers. Cathy shared many years with her longtime partner, John "Ed" Hughes. She also leaves behind uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Cathy had a creative spirit and a caring heart. In her younger years, she worked as a photographer, capturing special moments for others. She later became a familiar face behind the bar at The Hideaway Restaurant in Middleboro, Massachusetts, where she spent many years serving customers and making lifelong friendships. After retiring, she made her home in New Hampshire, where she cherished spending time surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She found happiness and loved drawing, painting, crocheting, sewing, and crafting beautiful handmade creations. She also enjoyed visiting the casinos at Foxwoods and Bally's Twin River, where she made many fun memories with family and friends.
Cathy will be remembered for her creativity, her sense of humor, her generous heart, and the love she shared with those around her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Cathy's life will be held at a later date. The family appreciates the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
