Obituary

Robert W. Hauswirth, 75 of Lowell MA, passed away on July 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born to Albert J. Hauswirth and Diane M. (Kilgore) Hauswirth (both predeceased). Bob was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.

His greatest joys were his childhood sweetheart and beloved wife Donna M. (Wilson) Hauswirth with whom he was married to for 55 years and being the proud and loving father to his son Robert (Rob) W. Hauswirth, Jr.
Together they built a lifetime of love and devotion centered around family.

Bob is also survived by his four brothers, Albert (Rus) Hauswirth and wife Jocelyn, Ronald Hauswirth and wife Christine, Gary Hauswirth and wife Debra and Kevin Hauswirth. He leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Diane (Hauswirth) McGuinness and his sister-in-law, Carol (Gibbons) Hauswirth.

In his early years, Bob worked for Lipton in Wilmington MA. He then became a proud member of Local 6 Heat & Frost Insulators & Asbestos Workers, of Boston where he retired after 22 years. He loved his trade and took great pride in his work. He was also a Life Member of Woburn Sportsman’s Association Inc. He forged many lasting friendships both at work and his club.

Though strong willed and spirited, Bob had the gentlest of hearts. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in the quiet woods of NY where he loved to spend time surrounded by nature and hunting with his brothers. He was kind and compassionate and always ready to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love and loyalty. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever carried in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, July 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury.

Private inurnment of his ashes will be held at the Lowell Cemetery Columbarium a later date.
