Sylvia Ruth (Eyer) Clark Coble, 80, of Penn Run, PA, formerly of Westover and Altoona, PA passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Dwight Coble, who preceded her in death on October 30, 2023.
The daughter of the late Charles Eugene Eyer and Dessa M. (Burk) Eyer Vaughn, she was born on July 3, 1946 in Altoona, PA.
Sylvia is survived by her son, James E. Clark and girlfriend, Shari Miller of Westover, PA; her seven grandchildren: Melinda Clark Freehill and husband Thomas; James Clark III; Thomas Clark and fiancé Liz Rebovich; Braden Clark; Kenny Coble; Jeffrey Coble and Zachary Coble; ten great grandchildren: Destiney Rae Rolland; Curtis Lee Rolland; Chase Thomas Coble; Hailey Harrison; Ethan Harrison; Brice Coble and Lincoln, Axe, Gabriel and Issabella Freehill and her son-in-law, Jeffrey A. Coble of Virginia.
She is also survived by her stepson and stepdaughters: Melissa A. Shomo and husband James of Fallen Timber, PA; Mark A. Coble of Madison, AL; Michelle Hazlett and husband Dave of Cherry Tree, PA and Melanie Coble of Madison, AL; eight step grandchildren: Letitia Coble; Kerri Coble; Allen Hazlett; Devon Hazlett; Ben Shomo; Becky Shomo; Brock Shomo; Shane Shomo; and six step great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Nicole Coble; Natalie Ann Coble; Tyevon English; Paisley Keith; Zayla Adams and Lawson Pearce.
Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Evelyn M. Fredrick of Delaware and six step siblings: Charles E. Eyer and Viola Thomas, both of Morrisdale, PA; Samuel Eyer of Duncansville, PA; Tina Crotsley of Altoona, PA; Ellen J. Feltenberger of Altoona, PA and Herman J. Vaughn of Altoona, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her step parents, Hermon J. Vaughn and Viola (Harn) Eyer; her husband, Donald; her beloved daughter, Brenda Lee (Clark) Coble; her granddaughter, Amber Legros; her step grandsons: Kaylan Coble and Mark Coble II; great grandson, Logan James McDermott and her three brothers: Fay Calvin; Terry Lee and Timothy Eyer.
In respect to Sylvia’s wishes, there will not be any viewing prior to her cremation.
