John Nathan Sylvain, age 64, a lifelong resident of Westport, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026. Born on June 26, 1962, John grew up in Westport and was a graduate of Westport High School.
John was predeceased in 2022 by his beloved wife of 23 years, Debbi Souza-Sylvain. John found his greatest joy in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his three children: Zachary Sylvain and his wife, Rachel, of Westport; Jacob Sylvain of Westport; and Krista Sylvain and her husband, Kevin Ponte, of Westport.
He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Leah Sylvain, Zoey Sylvain, Boston DeMello, Lyrehc DeMello, and Hudson DeMello, all of whom will deeply miss his Happy Birthday calls.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Monday from 10-11:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment is private.
