John Thomas Cullen of Walpole, passed away on June 29, 2026 at the age of 32. John was born on September 3, 1993. Proud Father of John Michael Cullen. Loving son of John F. and Marie B. (Fitzgerald) Cullen of Walpole. Beloved brother of Kayla M. (Cullen) Davis and her husband Stephen of Quincy, Shannon C. (Cullen) Folan and her husband Shawn of Norfolk, Meaghan M. Cullen of Walpole, and Hannah S. Cullen of Walpole. Loving uncle of Callum J. Folan. Cherished grandson of Edward and Eileen (Folan) Fitzgerald of West Roxbury, and the late Hugh T. Cullen and late Marguerite M. (Hynes) Cullen. John is also survived by the mother of John Michael, Carissa Galavotti of Lakeville, and many cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends, who are family.
John graduated from Walpole High School in 2011, avid lover of all sports. John went on to attend Nichols College in Dudley, MA. After college, John pursued a career as an Elevator Mechanic for Stanley Elevator Company Inc. John’s first priority was always his son. He found joy in spending time outside, introducing little John to all sports, and experiencing all of little John’s first milestones.
John will be remembered for his contagious laugh, his larger than life smile, and his heart of gold. John was always the life of the party and cared deeply about his family and friends. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort and peace in the many memories we shared and his love will stay with us forever. John’s legacy will live on through his son, sisters, parents, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, July 10th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 Lagrange Street, WEST ROXBURY All who knew and loved John Thomas are welcome to attend.
