Jose Silva Baptista, 56, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly in the city on June 27, 2026.
Born in Cabo Verde, Jose was the beloved son of the late Fernando Jorge Baptista and Maria Da Silva. He enjoyed watching soccer, sharing a glass of wine, and spending time socializing with his family and friends. He will be remembered for the joy he found in being surrounded by those he loved.
Jose is survived by his three brothers, Daniel Baptista, Fernando Baptista, and Silverio Baptista; his two sisters, Isabel Pina and Raquel Martinez; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Fernando Jorge Baptista.
Viewing in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
