
Ray Erna Miller, 90, of Tifton, passed away peacefully at his residence on the morning of Thursday, July 2, 2026. A graveside service celebrating his life and legacy will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton with the Rev. Ike Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born March 19, 1936, in Rochelle, Mr. Miller was the son of the late Clark Miller and Erna Mae Revels. Mr. Miller loved his wife and family dearly. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) until his retirement in 2004. Through his years of hard work, reliability, and service, he ensured the campus ran smoothly and safely for students, faculty, and staff. He was officially recognized and honored by the college upon his retirement, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Debbie Grace Miller.
Mr. Miller is survived by his loving family, including three daughters and two sons-in-law, Christie and Monroe Britt of Townsend, Dixie Carol Lindsey of Tifton, Keelie and Trannon Thomas of Dacula, and his son, Marty Miller of Tifton.
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Rebecca Coarsey, Megan and Jamie Hester, Damien Lucas, Fallon and Josh Beverly, Cameron and Ashley Britt, Caleb Thomas, Wyatt Thomas, Colee and Kobe Hale, Ben Miller, and Summer Miller; as well as 16 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
