CHICOPEE – David H. Honea, 79, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, June 26, 2026. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving fiancée and his family. He was born in Springfield on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 1946, a beloved son of the late Howard F. and Stephanie (Skomro) Honea. He was raised and educated in Springfield and had moved to Chicopee where he lived for many years. He was employed as the Head of Security at Baystate Place and had also worked for many years at Mercy Medical Center, both in Springfield. He leaves his companion and best friend of 32 years, Mary L. Parent of Chicopee; and his extended family members and many friends. His funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of his family. There are no visiting hours.
