
FORT MYERS, FL – Cheryl A. (Korch) Manchuk, 69, formerly of Webster, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, surrounded by love.
She leaves her devoted husband of 50 years, Paul M. Manchuk, Sr.; a daughter, April L. Smith; a son, Paul M. Manchuk, Jr.; and a grandson, Brady P. Smith.
She was born on July 10, 1956 in Worcester, a daughter of Edward and Lillian (Zachara) Korch and graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster in 1974. She lived in Webster for most of her life before moving to Fort Myers two years ago after decades of enjoying family vacations there.
Throughout her life, Cheryl was known for her kindness, compassion and unwavering dedication to others. She spent many years working with special education students in the Webster School System before continuing her career in the financial industry.
No matter where life took her, she always cared deeply for those around her. Her love extended beyond people to animals, especially her devoted dog Bailey who undoubtedly greeted her with a wagging tail.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Peter Moussa and his team at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa and also to the compassionate care givers at Avow Hospice House in Naples whose extraordinary kindness and support brought Cheryl and her family comfort, dignity and peace.
A funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, August 21, at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA (please meet at the church). The family will greet relatives and friends beginning at 10:30 AM in the church Friday, prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 (jimmyfund.org/gift).
