Frederick E. Easingwood, Sr., 81

Dateline: Norton, MA

Frederick E. Easingwood, Sr., age 81, of Norton, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Giers) Easingwood, with whom he recently celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage.

Born in Weymouth, MA on July 25, 1944, he was a loving son of the late James and Frances (Hutchins) Easingwood.

Fred grew up in Norton and was a 1962 graduate of Attleboro High School. Prior to retiring, Mr. Easingwood had worked as a machinist for Butler Automatic in Middleboro and was previously employed at the Quincy Shipyard.

Being a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Fred’s family was his greatest treasure and joy in life and their love for him was unconditional. He took great pride in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and at the time of his death, was anticipating the birth of his fourth great grandchild.

A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Fred will always be happily remembered for having the ability and skills to fix just about anything and his love and kindness for animals was a gift in itself.

In addition to his beloved wife Donna, he is survived by his devoted children, Frederick E. Easingwood, Jr of Norton, Kimberly M. Pattie of Rhode Island, Kerrie F. Pike and her husband Zack of Norton, Kevin J. Easingwood of Plymouth and Christopher Easingwood and his wife Brittany of Norton. He was the cherished and proud grandfather of Brett Pike and his wife Kayla of Cumberland, RI, Branden Pike of Providence, RI, Zoie Pike of Norton, Brady Pike of Norton, Gavin Easingwood of Plymouth, Colby Easingwood of Plymouth, Miley Easingwood of Plymouth and the great grandfather of Hannah, Karter and Daniel. He was the brother of the late Robert Easingwood and Marilyn Carlson and is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Monday, July 6th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Randolph.

Visitation will be held on prior to the Funeral Mass on Monday morning July 6th from 9;30-10:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers and with respect to Fred’s love for animals, donations in his memory may be made to the Mansfield Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 25, Mansfield, MA 02048.
