Eunice Marie Lathrop Cox, 69, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, formerly of Lakeland, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at UK Hospice in Lexington, Kentucky. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Cox will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Born January 26, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late James Lathrop and Betty Watson Lathrop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse George Cox; one brother, Howard Lathrop; and one sister, Bertha Milam. She was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her grandchildren, her friends, and her family. One of her greatest enjoyments was going to the beach.
Mrs. Cox is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Suzanne Brewster of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Larry and Rachel Brewster of Wichita, Kansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Ronnie Huston of Celina, Ohio; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin and Tonya Lathrop of Marshal, Illinois and Herman and Cynthia Lathrop of Tucson, Arizona; one sister, Beverly Edwards of Terre Haute, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Joe Brewster, David Brewster, Kathryn Butcher, Brice Grill, Jared Brewster, Jewell Brewster, Jaden Brewster, Michael Huston, Elizabeth Huston and Jesse Brewster; and several great-grandchildren.
