Obituary

WORCESTER - Urszula (Sprengel) Wierbik passed away quietly on June 26, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Her husband of 52 years, Jan Wierbik, died in 2023.

She leaves a daughter, Teresa Kopec and her husband Marek of Leicester; a son, Adam Wierbik and his wife Marzena of Dudley; four grandchildren, Alexander and Angelica Kopec and Felix and Emma Wierbik.

She was born on July 21, 1950 in Slupsk, Poland to Feliks and Teresa Sprengel. She earned an associate degree in liberal arts.
She emigrated to the United States in 1982 with her daughter to build a home, a very successful cleaning business and a new life.

Mrs. Wierbik was a former member of Our Lady of Czestachowa and then Saint Andrew Bobola in Dudley. She served as a vice president of the Polish Foundation in order to help keep Polish traditions alive in the community.

She dedicated her time and energy to her children, grandchildren, and the Polish community that she loved. She enjoyed crafting, whether it was knitting, crocheting or building her stained-glass creations. She left a little piece of herself in every one of her projects.

Her funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster (please meet at church). Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
