In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Jane Hodgdon
October 11, 1961 – June 24, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Jane Hodgdon, who passed away on June 24, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Elizabeth was a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She had a caring heart, a warm smile, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. She was always there with love, encouragement, and unwavering support for the people she cared about most.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dana Hodgdon, in 2020; her mother, Mary Donovan, in 2014; and her brother, Edward Donovan, in 1990.
She leaves behind her four loving children: Nicole, Ashley, Samantha, and Sean, who will forever carry her love, strength, and memories in their hearts. The bond she shared with her children was immeasurable, and her love for them never wavered.
She also leaves behind her beloved niece Meaghan and her great-nephew Michael, both of whom she loved dearly.
Elizabeth found joy in the simple moments—laughing with family, sharing stories, enjoying coffee, and making those around her feel loved. Whether it was spending time with the people she loved or showing kindness in the little things, she made those around her feel special.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed every day and lovingly remembered forever.

Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, Dedham on Wednesday, July 1 from 4-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, July 2 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10am (accessible parking in the rear of the church). Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
