Obituary

Raymond Frank, 83, beloved father, brother, godfather, and man of deep faith, went to meet his Heavenly Father in June 2026. Born in Pennsylvania, Raymond lived a life defined by service, intellectual curiosity, quiet strength, and a love of the outdoors that never dimmed. He later made his home in California, where he put down roots and built a life that touched all who knew him.
Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, a foundation of discipline and dedication that shaped everything he did. He went on to build a distinguished career as an electrical engineer, contributing his talents for decades to some of the most influential companies in the telecommunications and semiconductor industries, including AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Agere Systems, LSI Corporation, Avago Technologies, and Broadcom. His longevity through that remarkable chain of innovation was a testament to a brilliant mind that never stopped learning or contributing. Along the way, he forged lasting friendships with many colleagues, fortunate enough to work alongside him.
A devout Catholic, Raymond’s faith was the compass of his life. He approached each day with gratitude, integrity, and genuine care for those around him, especially the family he cherished so deeply.
Raymond’s spirit truly came alive outdoors. Whether hiking mountain trails, gliding down a ski slope, cycling through open country, rallying on the tennis court, or gazing in wonder at the night sky through a telescope, he embraced the natural world with the enthusiasm of someone who never took a single sunrise for granted. He was equally at home tending to the family horses, and his quiet, steady presence in the barn was as much a part of him as any adventure. He was also devoted to staying strong and active, and his commitment to fitness inspired all who knew him.
But perhaps what those closest to him will remember most is his warmth and his humor. Raymond had a gift for making people laugh, the kind of wit that could lighten any room and make you feel, without question, that you were exactly where you were supposed to be.
Raymond is survived by his devoted daughter, Wendy, his two beloved brothers, Joe and Ed, and a wide circle of cherished nieces, nephews, and godchildren to whom he was a steady, guiding presence.
He was a man who served his country, shaped his field, and loved his family well. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
